Week 4 - Final Presentation (Rendering Set + Architectural Set)

This workshop proved to be very useful in terms of developing my drawing skills and learning about line weights and hierarchies, page setups and understanding plans, sections and elevations.
Particularly in this workshop, I have learnt that linework is the most important feature in architectural drawings. I rather challenged at first by the precision required for rescailing the planes that we were given, into something larger, and to out tasks purpose, with more relavant features. I also found that the rendering of  shadow is rather difficult as I have never viewed and drawn shadow before. Overall, I would consider this workhop very important because being able to draw well architecturally is an important way of communicating to others, your design of an architectural space.

Week 3 - Perspective + Experiment Rendering

This exercise is an introduction on how we should present perspective drawings of our selected house and what style we could incorporate into the drawing so that it could communicate the idea.

This was my first experience with rendering and it was a struggle. I experimented different kind of media including colourpencils, watercolour pencils, pen, ink and pencil. I found that using black and white media (pen, ink and pencil) are the most effective for me so I used those medias for my final presentation.

Week 2 - Drafting

This task was to draft the plans, sections and elevations of the Rose Seidler house. I found it very difficult because every lines have to be straight both horizontal and vertical (by using T square and set square).
